Position Summary:
The Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery and related equipment to fabricate metal components according to product plans and production schedules. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Machine Setup & Operation
- Set up and operate press brake machines and other forming equipment.
- Select appropriate tooling and machine settings based on job specifications.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure proper bend angles and dimensions.

Material Handling & Preparation
- Measure, align, and position metal sheets and plates accurately.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine specifications.
- Load and unload materials safely using hoists, cranes, or forklifts as needed.

Quality Control
- Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions.
- Identify and report any defects or deviations from specifications.

Maintenance & Safety
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- 1–3 years of experience operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing or steel service environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of metal types, thicknesses, and forming techniques.
