Office Manager
L.A. Green is seeking an Office Manager to support our Home Office and Starkville location. The Office Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining filing systems, streamlining administrative procedures, inventory control, staff supervision, and task delegation.
A successful Office Manager is an energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative duties and back office support-related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Well organized, flexible, and enjoys the administrative challenges of supporting a fast-paced retail environment.
Objectives of This Role
- Maintain an organized, well-stocked, and efficient office environment
- Control the flow of inventory
- Maintain record-keeping and filing systems
- Support the buying team
- Support franchise locations and maintain communication between Home Office and franchise owners
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and coordinate the shipping/ invoicing of merchandise
Responsibilities
- Maintain organization of back office, backstock, filing, and billing.
- Follow up with vendors and customers regarding merchandise returns and maintain records of such.
- Keep franchise owners up to date on policies, invoice individual franchise locations, and communicate with franchise owners and managers.
- Oversee receipt of inventory and keep efficient records of merchandise.
- Keep record of market orders and keep buyers on course with budget/ spend.
- Oversee payroll and various bookkeeping tasks.
- Schedule meetings and keep detailed meeting notes.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- High level of computer literacy
- Ability to work effectively without oversight
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with payroll, accounting, HR, and office administration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a fashion retail environment (1 year preferred)
- Experience in an office management role (1 year preferred)
- Experience with task delegation & supervision of a team
- Capable of managing multiple competing priorities
- Familiarity with Point of Sale and eCommerce platforms
