Job requirement:

• Responsible for the scheduling of employees to meet the staffing needs of the unit.
• Assist the unit manager in maintaining the unit budget, and oversee day-to-day activities within unit.
• The charge nurse guides and leads staff to adhere to approved policies and procedures.
• Serve as backup to nurse manager; if necessary, assume 24 hour responsibility for the management of the unit.
• Current MS license required with knowledge and skills appropriate to patient population served.
• BLS and ACLS also required.
