MS Modern Homestead ? Homescale Small Animal Processing
Learn the process your own livestock humanely and efficiently. During this weekend we will provide hands-on opportunities to process chickens, rabbits, and hogs. Hog processing is limited to 10 participants. The first ten registrants will fill these spaces. If you would like to simply observe and provide your own housing and meals you may attend of a spectator fee.
Weekend begins Friday at 9am processing hogs with the Farmstead Meatsmith all day Friday.
If you are not in the hog processing group, you may arrive any time after 3pm on Friday for dinner at 5:30pm.
Saturday 9am -4pm 10 people process hogs, 10 process chickens. We will serve breakfast and lunch
Saturday Evening- Ms Sustainable Agriculture Banquet. All participants are invited.
Sunday 8am- Breakfast
Sunday 9am -11am- Processing Rabbits with J& J Farms
