2nd Annual Community Volunteer Fair
Join Volunteer Starkville for our 2nd Annual Community Volunteer Fair & MLK Day of Service Event on Saturday, January 17th from 10 AM to 12PM at the Starkville Sportsplex located at 405 Lynn Lane.Community members will have a chance to meet and greet with local nonprofits to learn more about their volunteer needs to find meaningful ways to give back during 2015 by volunteering.
We will also have kid-friendly activity stations where they can learn more about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.!
• Express your artistic skills at our MLK “I Have a Dream” Art & MLK Poetry Activity Stations
• Test your MLK and Civil Rights knowledge in our MLK Trivia and Civil Rights History Nook
• Enjoy the Starkville Pilot Club’s Brainminders Puppet Show and an MLK, Jr. Book Reading in our MLK Reading Corner
• Get your face painted by members of Longview Disciples 4-H Club at our MLK Face Painting Station
**This is a free event, but the public is encouraged to bring and donate the following items for our MLK Supply Drive for Emerson Family Resource Center’s New Mom’s Program. Please see list of supply needs above under MLK SUPPLY DRIVE listing.
