Hannah Pote was an outstanding SHS student athlete who was tragically killed in a car accident on December 18, 1997.  This race was established to honor Hannah's tremedous spirit and love of Starkville High School.  The race is open to the public and offers a 5k race as well as a 1 mile fun run for children.  Funds raised will directly support teacher and special school project grants within the Starkville School District.
