Primary Responsibilities:

· Maintaining and growing relationships with assigned customers

· Managing the performance of services

· Conducting regular CARE calls with assigned customers, ensuring customer satisfaction

· Controlling and managing costs

· Identifying and pursuing up-sell opportunities

The Account Manager report directly to the General Manager and are expected to have weekly PAR Calls. The PAR calls should include, but are not limited to:

· Outstanding issues (such as CARE calls or clients not renewing their recurring services contract) and the Recurring Services Tracking Sheet

· An evaluation of the production rate based on revenues of the crew based-off of the Schedule Board

· Discussion of the Recurring Services Tracking Sheet (Account Manager only)

Using the Time Model

The Account and Project managers use the Time Model to manage time distribution. The Time Model shows time allocation for the following:

· Functional Crew Training. Train crew in proper equipment use, such as how to properly operate a mower or skid steer.

· Crew Safety Training. Train crew in equipment safety, such as how to safely unload and refuel a mower or skid steer.

· Crew Management. Confirm that crews are performing duties properly and on target and within budget.

· Client’s Special Needs. Assist client’s needs beyond the actual service provided, such as attending a home owner organization meeting where the client wants to be represented by a Landscape professional.

· Enhancement Sales. Drive 15 to 17% of enhancement dollars in relation to the agreement amount, via service add-ons. For example, a customer agrees to mow and fertilize services. Over time the Account Manager shows the value of having flowers in front of the home. The service is rolled into the agreement for the next year enhancing the value of the portfolio.

· Proactive Sales Rep Support. Support the Recurring Sales Representative when needed, acting as subject matter expert to assist in closing larger recurring service agreements.

· Paperwork completion. Monitor and measure tracking data, such as the Recurring Tracking sheet to determine the performance of an agreement then present that data to the General Manager during PAR calls.

Shared Skills and Responsibilities

Required Skills

· Has all of the skills of a Level A technician

· Fluent in English with the ability to interact with clients

· Possesses and maintains a Pesticide Application License

· Possesses and maintains a valid Driver’s License with no major past infractions

· Possesses and maintains a Commercial Driver’s License

· Can be insurable for operating vehicles

· Drives trucks to and from job sites

· Operates vehicle in a safe manner so as not to harm or endanger the other team members in transit

· Loads materials for the day

Responsibilities

· Ensure the crew have blue prints, equipment, and other materials necessary to complete the task

· Understand where the crew is going and how to get there

· Interact with the customer

· Relate customer concerns to Account Manager

· Ensure day-to-day safety of job sites for team members

· Keep job site safe and secure for the clients

· Answer team and customer questions on-site

· Capture information on tracking time, materials consumed, either through technology or paper forms

· Interact with the Account Manager/Crew about a few times per-day for high level questions and concerns

· Answer questions from the Proactive Sales Representative (this is typically an Account Manager’s function)

· 90-95% of time should be billable directly to a job to capture expenses associated with it

· Looks forward on a job site to ensure enough materials are on-site

· Communicates the current status, projected completion time and budget with the

· Account Manager/Crew

· Typical 40-hour work-week, with no more than 10-hours overtime during peak season

· Ability and mindset to complete the same tasks over and over

· Familiar with expectations of geographic/regional horticulture standards for delivery of services and products

· Leads and encourages team

· Meets deadlines and project budgets

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35,000.00 to $60,000.00 /hour

Experience:

  • Landscape Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
