The 32nd annual Super Bulldog Weekend, a Mississippi State spring homecoming tradition featuring three days of athletic events, will take place April 7-9 on the MSU Campus. This year's event is being presented by The Retreat at Starkville.
Kickoff for the Maroon and White spring football game at Davis Wade Stadium will be 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 8. Admission to the spring football game is free. The contest is also being televised live on SEC Network.
Coach Andy Cannizaro's Diamond Dogs host Kentucky in a three game set a Dudy Noble Field with times at 6 p.m. Friday, 6 p.m Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. Coach Vann Stueduman's MSU softball team welcomes South Carolina to Nusz Park for games at 6 p.m. Friday, noon Saturday and noon Sunday.
Coach Matt Roberts' men's tennis team host Texas A&M at 3p.m. Friday in a top 20 showdown and LSU at 1p.m Sunday at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre. Coach David McFatrich's volleyball hosts Southeastern Louisiana at 10 a.m. Saturday followed by Samford at 11:30 a.m.
The annual pig cooking contest gets underway at 8 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of north of Howell Building. Pig cooking sampling takes place at 4 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday. More details on the festival are available at cdafestival.com
